    As a rapidly growing Company who are leaders within the automotive aftermarket, we have an exciting career opportunity for a Product Developer who can be flexibly based across the UK, within the Parts Alliance Group.

     

    We are looking for an experienced Product Developer who will develop our overall product offering. As the Product Developer, you will be responsible for Group Sales and Margins within defined categories, manage and control areas of stock portfolio.

     

    You will work with category leads and product managers to develop, understand and support brand strategies within your area of responsibility. This can take into account the market size, suppliers, competition, market share, growth and trends within the market place that will support the increase in sales, profit and/or market share to ensure that our product offer and buying terms are optimised.

     

    Main duties include: 

     

    • Support the development of the life cycle within categories, by effectively ranging products into and out of brand stock profiles alongside product managers, to help understand and improve the effectiveness of stock holding
    • Develop cross functional systems knowledge to support category leads and product managers
    • Support systems database and product requirements on current and future system integrations
    • Work with product managers to identify improvements in pricing
    • Further develop understanding of the product management environment and improvements that can be made to the category structure

     

    The ideal candidate will have experience of working within commercial procurement and/or marketing with an automotive aftermarket background. You will have excellent project management skills with knowledge of automotive products in particular. You must have experience of developing channel management and running product promotions. You will be a strong communicator able to influence, negotiate and persuade whilst having the ability to act on your own initiative. You must have experience of using data to analyse and interpret business requirements.
